International Chemistry Olympiad
The Midland Section of the American Chemical Society organizes every year a Local Section Exam and National Exam competitions of the USNCO. In March 2023, 144 students from eight high schools located in four counties in mid-Michigan participated in the Local Exam. Eight Local competition winners from Isabella, Midland, and Saginaw counties took part in the National Exam on April 15th at Saginaw Valley State University. The students who took part in the Chemistry Olympiad were recognized with ACS certificates and the National Exam participants also received gifts.
