The first Open House for members and prospective members was held at the Midland Center for the Arts on January 19, 2009. The purpose of the open house was to give attendees a chance to meet the 2009 Section leadership, find out what the Section is doing, and explore ways to become involved. It was also a good opportunity to get in some networking. We hope to make this an annual event that will provide another communication point with members, attract nonmembers, and encourage participation.
